Summary of the Welty Home Housekeeper position:

            Provides housekeeping services to the residents of The Welty Home as well as for the general living area, public restrooms, and offices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleans resident rooms weekly, including bathroom, sink area, furniture, change sheets on bed, vacuum carpets.
2. Checks resident room refrigerator weekly, wipe out refrigerator as needed, at least monthly; defrosts as needed
3. Cleans public restrooms daily
4. Cleans offices weekly
5. Cleans kitchenette/family room daily,  including mop vinyl floor and vacuum carpet
6. Cleans refrigerator in kitchenette weekly
7. Cleans chapel weekly
8. Cleans common areas daily
9. Cleans elevator, including track, weekly
10. Sweeps & mops inside stairwells weekly
11. Spot cleans fabric on chairs and on carpet as needed.
12. Other duties as assigned by Administrator or Manger.

Experience/Education:

            High School diploma or equivalent

            Professional housekeeping experience helpful, but not required

Mental/Physical Requirements:

            Neat, clean appearance

            Ability to communicate with residents, families, and other staff members

            Walking, bending, standing most of the day.
